Conservatory Prep Senior High seeks to attract applicants who desire a full college preparatory program with an integration of the arts in a small intimate environment. Our students tend to be independent creative thinkers and are in need of an outlet to expand their talents. An important factor in the decision to admit a student is the desire to be part of our learning community.
Admission is limited to those students for whom Conservatory Prep Senior High will most benefit and who will contribute to the school community.
Admission is therefore based upon interviews with both parent and student, two personal recommendations and testing by our psychologist. Students need to demonstrate the ability and desire to achieve in a small, highly academic environment on an advanced level.
Conservatory Prep Senior High has an "Open Admission Policy" of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, creed, ethnic origin, gender, disability, and similar factors. Applicants of all races and creeds are welcome to apply. Committed to the development of cultural, racial, religious, economic and geographic diversity in our school community, we do not discriminate in the administration of admissions educational policies, financial aid, or other programs.
Conservatory Prep will accommodate differences in learning styles within the curriculum and external services. Coursework is geared toward the gifted student. The school will not tolerate nor accept students with a past history of aggression, drugs or alcohol, or possession of weapons.
